THE EPICA AWARDS AND ADFORUM EXTEND THEIR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE PRESS

The Epica Awards Press Club – which keeps journalists, agencies and brands in touch – has unveiled Epic Or Not, a new app allowing journalists to celebrate creativity.

THE EPICA AWARDS AND ADFORUM EXTEND THEIR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE PRESS#2

The online Press Club is open not just to Epica Awards jurors, but to all journalists who cover marketing and creativity. Powered by AdForum, it gives them a chance to see the latest creative work, submit articles, contact fellow journalists and seek freelance work.

AdForum clients (agencies, brands and consultants) can also access the Club, enabling them to reach out to journalists and creating a genuine interface between the worlds of advertising, marketing and the press.

That relationship just got even closer thanks to the new Epic Or Not app. The app allows jurors to vote on the latest creative work wherever they happen to be. Available via the Apple or Google app stores, Epic Or Not was developed by the in-house tech team at Epica’s parent company, Maydream.

It draws on the latest ads uploaded to AdForum – also owned by Maydream – to provide a constant stream of new creative work. Jurors are encouraged to vote on ads and case studies based on their potential as future Epica Award winners. Agencies will be encouraged to enter the awards when a piece has scored well.

The app gives agencies and advertisers an extra incentive to send their work to AdForum. As with the Epica Awards themselves, the work on the app is judged on originality, quality of execution and emotional impact.

Maydream CEO Philippe Paget commented: “We’ve always seen Epica not just as an awards show, but as a year-round hub where journalism and creativity meet. The Epic Or Not app gives our press jury a chance to watch and celebrate the world’s most creative work as it appears, in a fluid and entertaining way.”

Further proof that both AdForum and the Epica Awards constantly strive to promote and encourage creativity, whether it’s awards season – or not.
