Joe joined the Epica Awards team in 2012. Working closely with the agency networks, he strives to ensure that the very best creative work is shown to the Epica jury each year.  Passionate about Epica’s unique status as the only creative prize judged by journalists from the trade press, when not in the office he can often be found on a Parisian terrace with a glass of wine in his hand.

Katia Chelpanova

Awards Coordinator & Administrative officer

Katia is Epica's ambassador in Russia and Eastern Europe. She has been instrumental in our continual relevance and growth as the leading international advertising award in the region. Katia also plays an indispensable role in day to day operations from logistical and administrative processes to the well-being of all Epica Awards staff. Her unwavering determination and cheerfulness makes her a force to rest on and reckon with.

Nicolas Huvé

Operations Director

Nico's first commitment is to the entries. He makes sure the work is properly gathered and catalogued for fair and optimal presentation. His extensive post-production background ensures firm and some would say obsessive meticulousness in helping steer creations through the judging process. Meanwhile, his past as line producer across different continents allows Nico to assist international entrants with a deep understanding of their imperatives.

Lucía Ongay

Global Press Manager

Lucía liaises with our worldwide jury of journalists to make sure Epica runs smoothly and that the winning entries obtain maximum publicity. Born in Argentina, she speaks five languages and is an ambassador for Epica in Latin America and Spain. She handles a wide range of tasks and is a vital contributor to the Epica Book.

Mark Tungate

Editorial Director

Mark is responsible for content such as our annual Epica Book and various regular articles on our website, as well as hosting the Epica jury. A journalist with 30 years of experience, he has written for everybody from the Financial Times and The Guardian to Campaign and Advertising Age. He is the author of several books about advertising and branding and regularly speaks at conferences around the world.

Philippe Paget

CEO

Philippe oversees the Epica team and guides the positioning of the brand. He is skilled at motivating staff and is a constant source of ideas. Philippe has a background in marketing and technology, having founded Real Media France in 1997 before becoming operations director for Europe, Africa and Asia. He also ran a start-up development company and a virtual meeting hub. In his current role he is also CEO of AdForum, an information provider for the global advertising industry.
